PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for Nov. 12, 2025:
The Persian Room – 17040 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale
3 violations:
- No certified food manager
- Open bag of vegetables in contact with raw chicken juice
- Hot shot and raid in dry storage area
Yoko Fast Food – 1235 S Gilbert Rd #1, Mesa
3 violations:
- Pans of raw chicken stored atop sliced beef
- Cooked fried chicken not kept at proper temperature
- Egg rolls and brown rice with no date marks
Golden Wok Chinese Restaurant – 4651 E Cactus Rd, Phoenix
3 violations:
- Rice scoop sitting in still water
- Box of eggplant with organic matter growth
- Rusted metal cooling plate at bottom of ice machine
Bawarchi Biryanis – 1445 S Arizona Ave Suite#6, Chandler
3 violations:
- Cooked beef and lamb not kept at proper temperature
- Chemical spray bottles on food prep table
- Walk in cooler not kept cold enough
The Spot Neighborhood Grill – 18251 N Pima Rd #120, Scottsdale
4 violations:
- Cooked rice not held at proper temperature
- Green salsa and cream sauce kept past discard dates
- Wine bottle stored in custom ice bin
- Cutting boards deeply scored
