Onelife Fitness offers red-light therapy + recovery services. (Bham Now)
We all know we should be moving our bodies more to stay in shapeโin fact, itโs recommended you get 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity each weekโbut sometimes you need motivation to get your gear on and put in the work.
Weโve found a great way to get and stay inspired to devote yourself to those 150 minutes, and it comes in the form of a huge array of classes, the latest technology to assess your progress and (my personal favorite part) ways to relax, recover and stay in shape mentally.
With two new locations opening soon in the greater Birmingham area, see why Onelife fitness is the smart (and affordable!) choice to end the year on a high note and begin 2026 in the right mindset.
What to look for in a gym: Classes + training for every body

Molly gets a demo of Onelifeโs STRIKE Studio boxing-centered classes (Bham Now)
My coworker, Molly, and I had the chance to check out Onelifeโs preview center in McCalla, just down the road from Hoover via 459. Theyโre prepping to open their 58,000-square-foot facility in a few short weeks, and the list of amenities are impressive. Members can enjoy:
- group fitness classes
- more than a million dollars of the latest strength + cardio equipment
- personal training
- pools, hot tubs + saunas
- recovery elements, like HydroMassage + red-light therapy
- on-site childcare thatโs active + engaging
- well-stocked locker rooms so you can breeze out looking your best
The new Onelife locationโAlabamaโs first!โis conveniently located in McCallaโs Colonial Promenade Tannehill shopping complex.
We spoke with the team just before opening, and they walked us through all of the different types of classes Onelife offers. I was pleased to hear they work hard to make sure all ages, body types and fitness levels have options, from water aerobics, cardio and dance-based classes to stretching, cycle, chair yoga and much more.
โWe have a wider variety of classes than any other place youโre going to go, and itโs all included with your membership.โ
