During today’s match between Shelton and Rinky Hijikata, ESPN’s cameras panned to his bench, where Rodman could clearly be seated looking up longingly at Shelton. She’s certainly been a good luck charm for him so far as Shelton has won his first five sets in the prestigious Grand Slam tournament.
Fans on social media certainly loved seeing how cute the two of them looked:
“I need someone to look at me as happily as (Trinity Rodman) looks at (Ben Shelton),” one user wrote.
“Everyone needs someone who looks at them the way she looks at him,” wrote another.
“Who knew tennis courts could be this romantic?” a third wrote.

“Aw, they’re so cute! Love is in the air, darling.”
Shelton has been a rising superstar in tennis. He’s the current world’s No. 10 – the highest ranking of his career – and has enjoyed career-best finishes in both the Australian Open and the French Open. If he can reach the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, it’ll be a new career-best in this Grand Slam too.
As for Rodman, she’s one year removed from a stellar showing at the Olympics where she scored three goals for the USWNT en route to winning a gold medal. At the club level, she’s currently a free agent.
