A 30-year-old man was stabbed several times while sitting parked in his car in San Ysidro early Thursday, and the suspect reportedly remains at large.

The San Diego Police Department said that aound 2:50 a.m. Thursday, the suspect, described as a man in his 50s, approached the victim’s vehicle where it was in a parking lot “without provocation,” and began stabbing him in the face and arm,

Police said the victim was able to get away, while the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. His name has not yet been released.

The suspect was described as a man with a beard, wearing grey clothing and glasses.

No arrests have been made. The SDPD Southern Division is handling the investigation.
