Apple TV has announced the release date for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 in a new video that teases the arrival of Kong.
“Season two will pick up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea,” the Apple TV synopsis reads. “The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a Titan event on the horizon.”

When is the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2 release date?
The 10-episode second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters premieres globally on February 27, 2026, with the first episode. One new episode will stream on Apple TV every Friday until May 1, 2026.
Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is set in Legendary’s MonsterVerse franchise. Told across two timelines, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 1 follows two siblings who search for their father but end up learning about their family’s ties to the secret organization, Monarch.
The key figure in the two timelines — one in the 1950s and the other in 2015 — is Army officer Lee Shaw, whose knowledge of Monarch’s secrets threatens the organization. Wyatt Russell plays Shaw in the ’50s, while his father, Kurt Russell, plays the character in 2015.

Executive producer Chris Black is the showrunner for Season 2. Additional executive producers include Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Jen Roskind, Matt Shakman, Lawrence Trilling, and Andrew Colville. Hiro Matsuoka and Takemasa Arita produce on behalf of Toho Co., Ltd., the owner of the Godzilla character.
