1 person found dead after La Crosse Fire Department responds to residential fire

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) – One person is found dead after the La Crosse Fire Department responded to a residential fire.

According to a press release from the La Crosse Fire Department, on Nov. 13, 2025, at around 3:30 a.m., the La Crosse Fire Department responded to a residential fire in the 1700 block of Taylor Street.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire conditions in the home. Firefighters addressed the fire and searched the home.

While searching the home, firefighters found one person dead inside the home.

The incident is under investigation.
