Editor’s note: Featured pets may be adopted quickly, but there are always others ready for their forever home.

At the Humane Society of North Texas, adoption is about changing lives, one match at a time. Learn more about adoptions at HSNT’s Fort Worth and Keller locations, or at off-site adoption events held six days a week at HSNT.org.

This week, two very different fur-clad personalities — Suki and Adohi — are waiting to meet the families who will change their lives.

Suki, a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix, is the definition of gentle strength. She’s a sweet, steady soul who carries herself with quiet confidence and calm affection. Her soft eyes seem to understand everything without a word, and her favorite moments are those spent close to the people she loves. Loyal and kindhearted, Suki would be happiest in a home where she can stretch out, keep watch and remind everyone that love sometimes comes in a very big, very fluffy package.

Adohi, a 2-month-old black-and-white tuxedo kitten, brings a very different kind of energy. Playful and full of curiosity, he darts after toys, tumbles through kitten games, and then curls up in the nearest lap, already a forever friend. Equal parts mischief and affection, Adohi is the perfect kind of kitten.

Suki and Adohi are just two of the many pets waiting for adoption at HSNT’s Fort Worth Adoption Center. Each adoption creates space for another animal in need and helps strengthen a community built on compassion and second chances.

The details: Where compassion meets action

To set adopters and their new best friend up for success, every Humane Society of North Texas adoption includes:

  • spay/neuter surgery.
  • up-to-date vaccines.
  • a microchip.
  • a free first exam at a participating veterinarian.
  • one month of complimentary pet insurance.

Adoption fees are based on a variety of factors, such as age, size, length of stay and public demand. Visit HSNT.org for more details and follow along on Facebook, Instagram, Threads and TikTok for stories about other friends looking for a furever home.
