An IDF spokesperson has cleared for publication that Corporal Irmias Behata, 18, from Ma’ale Adumim, a recruit at a Logistics Corps training base, collapsed and died at a base in southern Israel. The circumstances of his death are under investigation and a medical inquiry is being conducted. Following the incident, the Military Police Investigation Unit opened an investigation, and upon completion, the findings will be forwarded to the Military Prosecution for review. The IDF spokesperson additionally announced that the head of the Technology and Logistics Division, Major General Rami Abudarham, has decided to appoint a team of experts headed by a lieutenant colonel.
