A man has been arrested after two women were stabbed at a day care in Philadelphia’s Germantown section last week.
The video featured is from a previous report.
Police say 35-year-old Eric Ferguson, from Brooklyn, New York, was arrested on Thursday in the 5200 block of Wayne Avenue.
The stabbing happened at 10:30 a.m. last Wednesday in the 5700 block of Germantown Avenue.
Police say it started as an argument between the suspect and two female workers of Ya-Ya’s Place.
The argument escalated and moved inside the daycare. That’s when, police say, the man stabbed the two women with a knife.
“It appears the individual chased the victims inside and stabbed them inside,” said Captain John Craig from Northwest Detectives.
One woman was stabbed in the stomach, the other in the hand.
The women were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police previously told Action News that the suspect was known to the victims and that the incident was being considered domestic.
Police say none of the children were present for the crime.
Ferguson is being charged with Aggravated Assault and Attempt to Commit Homicide.
