HOUSTON – A man was killed after an ongoing dispute with another man in North Harris County.

Deputies found a roughly 41-year-old man dead from an apparent gunshot wound in a mobile home community in the 200 block of West Camino at about 2 a.m. Saturday, said Sergeant Greg Pinkins with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit

According to investigators, the victim had been involved in an ongoing dispute with the shooter, who detectives believed to be a friend.

Two other people who are believed to be related to the shooter were inside the home at the time, but they were not injured.

Investigators said the shooter often stays at the residence but had not been there for several days.

Detectives were working to confirm his identity.

He was not in custody and was not on scene when deputies arrived.

Detectives were currently interviewing witnesses, canvassing the area for video and working with other units to locate the shooter.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-274-9100 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
