There’s one actor who has already proved he’s the ideal casting for DC’s Absolute Joker. Absolute Batman reimagines Gotham City as a nightmarish ecosystem of monsters where every familiar character is a dark and extreme reflection of their classic selves. The Absolute Universe’s ultra-stylized action makes it a goldmine for multimedia adaptations.
If Absolute Batman’s cast of characters is remarkably larger-than-life, Absolute Joker amplifies the Absolute Universe’s unique style with his terrifying, demon-like appearance and his secret influence on Gotham. Instead of the usual mischief-driven anarchy, this Joker embodies pure evil. Absolute Joker’s monstrous design and unsettling silence suggest he’s the most dangerous and predatory Joker to date.
Bill Skarsgård Is The Ideal Casting For Absolute Joker
Bill Skarsgård Could Play An Even More Twisted Clown Than Pennywise

Bill Skarsgard’s Pennywise smiles under sinister lighting in It Welcome to Derry
Bill Skarsgård’s instantly-iconic performance as Pennywise in Andy Muschietti’s IT proved he can easily embody an inhuman monster wearing a disturbingly expressive face. But while Pennywise relied on mischievous dark humor, Skarsgård could lean on Absolute Joker’s colder, silent menace, which conveys a different kind of horror. Skarsgård’s uncanny ability to contort his features even without prosthetics gives him a natural advantage in bringing Absolute Joker’s demonic visage to life.
Skarsgård’s performances in movies like Nosferatu and The Crow also prove he can portray a more serious kind of dark, haunted character. This is essential for Absolute Joker, who must also function as a chillingly calm “human” counterpart to his monster persona. Despite having played one of pop culture’s most memorable clown antagonists so recently, Skarsgård can still create a brand-new unsettling Joker in a hypothetical Absolute Batman movie.
Although DC already has two separate live-action Batman universes running concurrently, Absolute Batman has become such a groundbreaking phenomenon that a self-contained Absolute Batman adaptation could still be a hit. Otherwise, Bill Skarsgård’s natural fit for the Absolute Joker role and his previous collaboration with The Brave and the Bold director Andy Muschietti could lead into a seamless integration of Absolute Joker into Muschietti and James Gunn’s DCU plans.

Absolute Batman Is Great Source Material For A Movie

If Warner Bros. and DC Studios were to greenlight a live-action Absolute Batman movie, several other actors would be ideal for its cast. Jacob Elordi’s imposing presence and cold intensity make him perfect for the lead role. Meanwhile, Daniel Craig and Ralph Fiennes would provide Alfred Pennyworth with a great mix of physicality and depth, with Josh Brolin doing the same for James Gordon.
Spence Moore II showcased Waylon Jones’ strength and vulnerability in Creed III, and the ultra-flexible Javier Botet is unparalleled when it comes to portraying inhuman figures, which makes him the definitive choice for Absolute Mr. Freeze. Absolute Catwoman could also give Batgirl star Leslie Grace a well-deserved second chance to join a DC movie after Batgirl’s cancelation.
