PHOENIX (AZFamily) — One man is dead and another is in the hospital after a crash in west Phoenix on Saturday night.
At about 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash near 27th Avenue and Buckeye Road.
When police arrived, they found two men who were both seriously hurt. Both men were taken to the hospital, where one later died. His identity has not yet been released.
Preliminary information suggests the at-fault driver was speeding and failed to stop at a red light before hitting the other driver. Police say impairment may have been a factor.
It is unclear if charges will be filed.
