A vehicle that drove into Dallas Love Field’s air operations area caused a runway to close early Fourth of July morning, officials said.
The unauthorized vehicle accessed the air operations area of the airport where planes land and take off around 6:10 a.m., according to Lauren Rounds, a spokesperson for the Dallas Department of Aviation.
Dallas police immediately responded to the airport, Rounds said.
Out of caution, Runway 13R-31L was closed by the Federal Aviation Administration, she said.
