A teenager was shot in the buttocks in West Philly on Monday evening, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.

The shooting happened around 5:44 p.m. on Nov. 17 on the 5900 block of Callowhill Street, police said.

Officers were called to the scene after a person with a gun was reported, officials explained.

When the officers got to the scene, they said that they found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his buttocks.

The teen was taken to a nearby hospital where he is listed in stable condition, police said.
