Rochester native, former pro tennis player to take over as US Open Tournament Director

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Rochester native and former Top-20 doubles pro Eric Butorac has been named the next Tournament Director of the US Open.

The USTA announced the development Monday.

Butorac will succeed Stacey Allaster who the USTA said will continue serving as USTA Chief Executive, Professional Tennis, before transitioning to a strategic advisor role.

The USTA reports Butorac joined the USTA in 2016 after 14 years on tour.
