PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A driver is in the hospital after a crash involving a school bus in north Phoenix on Tuesday.
The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of 16th Street and Glendale Avenue.
Phoenix Fire told Arizona’s Family that about 65 students were on the bus at the time of the crash. Of those students, six complained of minor injuries, but none of them were taken to the hospital.
Fire crews say the driver of the SUV involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The bus is from Saints Simon & Jude Cathedral School, a K-8 school located near Bethany Home Road and 27th Avenue, about 5 miles away from where the crash happened.
Arizona’s Family has reached out to school administrators for a statement.
