Fort Worth-based Trademark Property Co., a mixed-use investor, developer, and operator, has expanded its leadership team with the addition of three seasoned executives: Scott Elrod as chief financial officer, Erick Klafter as senior vice president of property and asset management, and Haas Sulehri as director of construction.
“Trademark continues to invest in its most important asset — its people,” said Kevin Kessinger, president and COO at Trademark, in a press release. “With over 70 years of combined experience, our new team members reinforce our commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and long-term growth.”
Elrod, the company’s new CFO, joins Trademark with extensive industry experience, including leadership roles at CBRE, USAA, and Clarion Partners. Known for his client-first approach and personalized service, Elrod will focus on optimizing property accounting, reporting, and integrating technologies to scale the company’s platform.
“A key differentiator for Trademark is that we are able to combine exceptional client service with innovative processes,” said Elrod. “One of our core focus areas is to elevate the property accounting function and provide a boutique concierge service to clients, while leveraging emerging technologies.”
Based in Austin, Klafter brings more than 25 years of retail and mixed-use operating experience to his new role. He will oversee asset and property management for key projects including Longview Mall and Westbend. His previous leadership roles at CenterCal Properties and Northwood Retail included oversight of major developments such as Fifth + Broadway in Nashville and Domain Northside in Austin.
“Shoppers today expect a great experience from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave,” said Klafter. “My goal is to deliver that through a thoughtful mix of tenants, amenities, operational excellence, and programming that align with Trademark’s purpose of enhancing communities and enriching lives.”
Trademark also recently added Sarah Uren as VP of ancillary, and in September welcomed Sulehri as director of construction.
Sulehri, with experience at Hines and Howard Hughes Holdings, now oversees developments including Market Street — The Woodlands and La Palmera, while streamlining tenant improvement processes.
“Trademark sees a real opportunity to build a best-in-class operating, development and investment platform that fills the hole left by both private equity and public company acquisitions,” said Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark. “These premier hires accomplish that goal and position us well to be the premier boutique service provider to institutional owners and investors across the U.S.”
Trademark’s national portfolio spans Texas, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Louisiana, California, and Missouri.
