GLENDALE — The Glendale Glitters light and holiday display will kick off two days of festivities later this month at the Glendale Civic Center.

The festive celebration will take place on Nov. 28 and Nov. 29 at the venue near Palmaire and 57th avenues.

Millions of holiday-themed lights and interactive displays will light up the West Valley city during the special lighting ceremony on Nov. 28, which will kick off the celebrations. There will also be a meet-and-greet with Santa Claus.

“Glendale Glitters has become synonymous with the Christmas season across the Valley,” Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers said in an announcement.

“It is truly the most wonderful time of the year. I urge everyone and their families to come down and take (part) in the holiday festivities.”

Glendale Glitters’ festivities will feature 20 unique vendors for visitors, including Nothing Bundt Cakes and Island Noodles.

The event will also be part of the city’s Small Business Saturday on Nov. 29, where special promotions will be offered across downtown Glendale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

After the 29th, the holiday light display will stay up through New Year’s Eve, with guests able to explore the setup from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Additionally, Santa Claus’ meet-and-greet will return every Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. starting on Dec. 5 and running through the 20th.
