An “upscale” Torchy’s Tacos is expected to open in Uptown Dallas in 2026, in the 23Springs development near Cedar Springs Road and Maple Avenue.

The 26-story office tower will have other restaurants on the property including Little Ruby’s Cafe and Elephante. Torchy’s will be the most casual spot among them, although it’s designed with a new layout and “higher-end finishes,” according to Brandon Rathert, director of brand marketing and communication for the Austin-born taco shop.

Much about Uptown Dallas’ coming-soon Torchy’s Tacos will match what consumers already know from the brand, however. The menu will be the same as at other locations. Prices will be consistent.

The restaurant is considered “upscale” because it will feature a new design. It’s also smaller than most Torchy’s, at 2,500 square feet. It will have a full bar.

The restaurant chain is known for its green-chile queso and a la carte tacos in varieties like steak fajita, Baja shrimp and a fried chicken option called the Trailer Park. (To get it “trashy,” chefs remove the lettuce from the taco and add queso.)

Adding a Texas-based taco shop to 23Springs allows for a “great mix of diversity and culinary creativity” at the development, said Paul Bennett, senior managing director of Granite Properties.

“We want to encourage our customers and the community to enjoy the neighborhood park, relax on the patios and dine at our restaurants,” he said in a statement.

He noted the “great price point” at Torchy’s. It’s expected to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
