Amber Alert Issued in LA, Kern Counties for abducted 7-Year-Old

A young boy whom authorities say was abducted by an older man in Kern County prompted an Amber Alert across Kern and Los Angeles counties Friday.

The Amber Alert was issued Friday by the California Highway Patrol on behalf of the Ridgecrest Police Department.

Angel Wagner, 7, was last seen Thursday around 11:50 p.m. near South Sims Street and West Dolphin Avenue in Ridgecrest, according to the CHP. Wagner was described to be 4-feet-2-inches tall, about 70 pounds with red hair and brown eyes.

Michael Abbott, 42, was suspected of abducting Wagner, and is believed to be driving a white 2025 GMC Acadia with California license plate 9SYA003. His relationship to the boy was not disclosed.

Abbott was described as 5-feet-10-inches tall, about 250 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.
