SAN ANTONIO — Congressman Joaquin Castro is sharing what he knows about Sunday’s raid at a food truck area on the North Side.
In a video posted to his Facebook page, Castro says the operation, which resulted in at least 140 arrests, was not led by the federal government.

Castro says of the at least 140 people arrested, two of them are teens and one is a baby.
He says the way the government is painting it, every person arrested is a violent member of the Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua.
Castro says authorities used a confidential informant who staked out the food truck area several times and even bought drugs there once as a way to conduct an immigration raid.
He says of the 140 people arrested, only two have been charged with illegal re-entry.
Castro has sent a letter to the Trump administration, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations demanding answers related to Sunday’s raid.
