Near record highs continue in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, Thanksgiving Day cool down on the horizon

  • November 22, 2025

Patchy inland fog to start your Saturday morning

Sat Forecast

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It’s looking like another warm weekend with temperatures hovering near record highs and very little rain in sight. If you’re hoping for a break from the dry weather, unfortunately, the drought isn’t letting up anytime soon.

Sat Golf Fore-Cast

The high record was tied on Friday at 84 degrees, and Saturday’s record high is also 84 degrees, set in 1973.

But good news for Thanksgiving! Temperatures should drop back to more normal levels, giving us a nice, much-needed fall cool-down. Highs expected to stay in the low 70s and will be early in the day.

Thanksgiving Day

Don’t get too comfortable, though, because the warm air is expected to return at the start of December. So, while we get a short break, the drought will likely stick around, meaning it’s still important to conserve water and keep on eye out for local burn bans.
