This holiday season, ditch the crowded malls and step outside to discover one of Los Angeles’s most vibrant cultural experiences: the biannual LA NDN Flea — A Native Market. Modeled after the bustling flea markets found on reservations across the country, this open-air event is a celebration of Indigenous creativity, community, and culture.

Browse unique, handcrafted goods by local and visiting Indigenous makers from recycled clothing and handcrafted jewelry to original artwork and more. Every visitor walks away with a free limited-edition poster featuring bold, colorful work by Jeffrey Gibson (Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and Cherokee), part of The Broad’s collection.

Community Connections

Kids and adults alike can participate in hands-on activities while DJs spin curated sets by deesco (Teme-Augama Anishnabai). Enjoy a custom board game designed by Lazaro Arvizu Jr. (Gabrielino/Tongva), blending L.A.’s rich cultural and natural heritage into playful learning.

Beyond shopping and play, the market offers community connection and support, featuring nonprofit organizations and resource groups sharing information and resources with visitors. Food vendors and a lively atmosphere make this an event for all ages.
