Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of a suspect in a homicide Sunday morning in the Loop.

According to Chicago police, an unidentified male was discovered unresponsive at approximately 7:21 a.m. in the 200 block of South Wabash Avenue near East Adams Street. The victim sustained an apparent puncture wound and was taken to an area hospital, where he died, police said.

Cook County Crime Stoppers, citing a police report, said the man was discovered without identification and “investigators believe he may have been homeless based on personal effects found at the scene.”

“This is a senseless loss of life,” Paul Rutherford, executive director of Cook County Crime Stoppers said in a news release. “We are deeply committed to supporting law enforcement and the community in bringing justice for this individual. If you saw something, no matter how small it may seem, we urge you to come forward. Your tip could be the key to finding those responsible…”
