Jason Lee Parker served with Dallas Fire-Rescue for over two decades, officials said.

DALLAS — Dallas Fire-Rescue is mourning the off-duty death of Firefighter/Paramedic Jason Lee Parker, the department announced in a social media post.

Parker served the City of Dallas for more than 20 years and was a member of Fire Station 12, according to the department. Dallas Fire-Rescue described him as a gentle, kind-hearted man who was beloved by his colleagues.

The department is asking the community to keep Parker’s family, friends and fellow firefighters in their thoughts during this difficult time.

No additional details about his death were immediately released.
