WASHINGTON (TNDD) — President Donald Trump is pushing Paramount studios to reboot the Rush Hour franchise, which is one of his favorites, according to reports.
Larry Ellison, a massive Trump donor and the second richest man in the world, will likely take over Paramount studios and Trump has been giving him some ideas for movies, according to an exclusive report from Semafor.
According to the report, Trump “personally pressed” Ellison to make another movie in the Rush Hour franchise.
The president wants to bring back comedies and action movies from the 1980s and 1990s.
The Rush Hour franchise is made up of buddy-cop movies starring Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan.
The first movie came out in 1998 and had two sequels in 2001 and 2007.
Some of Trump’s other movies that he considers favorites include Gone with the Wind, Goodfellas and Citizen Kane, according to The Independent.
Prior to becoming president, Trump was a real estate developer and a businessman. He also was a host of the reality TV show called “The Apprentice.”
