PHOENIX — Food enthusiasts looking for new places to eat around metro Phoenix are in luck as OpenTable recently revealed its top 100 list for 2025 and three Valley eateries made the cut.

Two of the restaurants are located in Scottsdale and the third is in Phoenix.

According to OpenTable, the list was determined and compiled based on more than 10 million diner reviews as well as diner ratings, reservation demand and the percentage of five-star reviews.

“This year’s top 100 celebrates the restaurants that remind us why we love dining out, the places that bring people together and turn everyday moments into something memorable,” OpenTable CEO Debby Soo said in a press release. “From rising stars to timeless favorites, these spots showcase the richness of dining today, and the breadth on offer at OpenTable, where there’s something for everyone.”

What Valley restaurants made OpenTable’s top 100 list for 2025?

The eateries that received recognition are no stranger to OpenTable’s list, and all three have been featured in previous years’ rankings.

Cafe Monarch is located at 6936 E. 1st Ave. in Old Town Scottsdale and is family-owned and operated. It has a seasonal menu and offers four-course prix fixe options.

On OpenTable, the restaurant earned ratings of 4.9 for food, 5 for service, 5 for ambience and 4.5 for value as well as an overall 4.9 stars out of five.

The second restaurant, Ocean 44, has cooked its way onto the online booking network’s top 100 list at least three times. It is located at 4748 N. Goldwater Blvd in Scottsdale and was created by Jeffrey and Michael Mastro, their father Dennis and Scott Trolio.

On its page for Ocean 44, OpenTable editors noted that: “(Ocean 44 is) flying in the best Alaskan king crab legs, Maine lobster, Chilean sea bass and Australian wagyu from all over the world. The massive modern dining room is just as luxurious as the food, starring an 18-foot raw bar and glass cellar, with the extensive wine list on full display.”

From reviewers, the seafood spot received an overall rating of 4.9 stars that was broken down into grades of 4.9 for food, 4.9 for service, 4.9 for ambience and 4.6 value.

The final Arizona eatery recognized was another Mastro brothers’ creation: Steak 44. The restaurant was started in 2014 to redefine the classic American steakhouse and is located at 5101 N. 44th Street in Phoenix.

Customers on OpenTable gave the steakhouse 4.9 for food, 4.9 for service, 4.8 for ambience and 4.5 for value, which culminated into an overall rating of 4.9 stars for the restaurant.

The online booking network’s editors described Steak 44 as bringing “meat to the modern era with a more playful steakhouse-style menu.”
