Distribution Solutions Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: DSGR) has appointed Sean Dwyer as senior vice President, head of mergers & acquisitions and strategy, the company announced Monday.
Dwyer joins DSG with extensive experience leading strategy and M&A efforts across the distribution, transportation and logistics, and packaging sectors. Over the course of his career, he has completed more than $30 billion in transactions and built a reputation for delivering disciplined capital allocation and long-term value creation, according to a press release.
“We are excited to welcome Sean as DSG’s new M&A and strategy leader,” said Bryan King, DSG Chairman and CEO, in a statement. “Sean’s appointment strengthens our ability to pursue strategic opportunities that support our long-term growth. He brings deep industry insight, a disciplined approach to capital allocation, and a proven record of value creation.”
Most recently, Dwyer served as chief strategy and corporate development officer for BlueLinx Holdings, a publicly traded building products distribution company with roughly $3 billion in annual revenue. Before that, he built and led the corporate development function at WestRock Company — now part of Smurfit WestRock — a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging with about $31 billion in annual revenue.
“We have meaningful opportunities ahead of us, and I look forward to collaborating with our teams to identify strategic opportunities that strengthen DSG and create long-term value for our shareholders,” said Dwyer.
He will report directly to Ron Knutson, EVP and chief financial officer, and work closely with the LKCM Headwater team and DSG’s three vertical leadership teams.
DSG is a multi-platform specialty distribution company serving approximately 200,000 customers across MRO, OEM, and industrial technology markets with 4,400 employees worldwide.
