The Toronto Blue Jays announced the signing of infielder Carlos Mendoza to a minor league deal on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old left-handed hitter produced a .287 average alongside seven home runs and 41 RBIs over 97 games split between Double-A (82 games) and Single-A (14 games) in the Detroit Tigers’ minor league system in 2025.

Mendoza also had a .394 on-base percentage and a .803 OPS.

The Miami native has spent his entire career in the Tigers’ organization, but has never appeared in an MLB game.
