A lengthy bridge reconstruction project is starting up after the holiday weekend in Fenton Township.
The Genesee County Road Commission will begin its North Road Bridge reconstruction project, just north of Ponemah Drive, on Monday, July 7th. The bridge is over the Shiawassee River.
The road will be closed to thru-traffic and is expected to re-open to traffic at the end of October.
Drivers wanting to access the south side of the project should take Torrey Road through the roundabout on to North Road.
Northbound drivers should take Torrey Road to Lahring Road to North Road.
Delays are expected and motorists should allow additional time to reach their destination, or seek alternate routes.
