Severe storms possible Saturday night to Sunday morning

  • November 28, 2025

Black Friday Forecast:

Before we get to the severe weather threat let’s talk about Friday. Black Friday will bring great deals in the store and seasonable temperatures outside. The early part of the day is dry and cold. Temperatures start in the 40s under partly cloudy skies. The afternoon is breezy with East winds 10-15 mph and gusts to 25 mph. High temperatures are in the upper-60s.

We’ll start Saturday under dry skies. A southerly wind brings back humidity and warm temperatures. We’ll climb to the mid-70s before the cold front moves through. The front arrives late Saturday night and moves off the coast overnight. The latest timing has the strongest storms in Houston at 11:00 pm.

The one big change I noticed from Wednesday to Thursday is the forecasted rain totals are lower. But the potential for isolated street flooding is possible so don’t let your guard down if you are traveling late Saturday into early Sunday.

Rain totals range from .50″-2.00″ (Copyright 2025 by KPRC Click2Houston – All rights reserved.)10-day forecast:

This cold front brings significantly colder temperatures to start the month of December. Houston has highs in the 50s for three straight days. And more rain is in the forecast too.
