SAN DIEGO, CA (WCJB) – Another reminder that this is not last year’s team. The Gators need someone else who can hit the three like Klavzar and Haugh do.
TCU’s Brock Harding hits a jumper to take the lead, Condon misses the three-ball, and TCU hits their shots at the line to upset the Gators. TCU dominated in the paint and forced 19 turnovers.
Gators were outscored 45 to 36 in the second half.
Just when you thought the Gators would run away with this one. Florida watched their 10-point lead disappear off a 17-8 run, and then minutes later, Florida lost the momentum again off a 9-0 run.
Urban Klavzar had a career day with 20 points, shooting 4 of 7 from the field. But, Thomas Haugh was shut down by the TCU defense, and TCU is hitting nearly 58% from the field in the 2nd.
Florida plays Providence after Wisconsin trounced the Friars, 104-84.
