New food at Citi Field for 2025: Video

New food is unveiled at the What’s New at Citi Field media event on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

NEW YORK — After weathering their worst stretch of the season in June, the Mets have an opportunity to clinch at least a Subway Series split for the 2025 season against the Yankees.

The Mets stormed back with a key lift from Jeff McNeil in the series opener to grab a 6-5 win. They will look to capture a repeat performance in the second game of the series against the Yankees at 4:10 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at Citi FIeld.

A win would extend the Mets’ win streak to four games on the heels of dropping 14 games in their previous 17 outings.

The Mets will be hoping that Frankie Montas can bounce back after surrendering six runs, including five in the first inning, in a lopsided loss to the Pirates last weekend.

The Yankees will counter with Carlos Rodon, who is 9-5 with a 2.95 ERA and 1.00 WHIP.
