A man is dead and a person-of-interest is being questioned after a fatal shooting in Chicago’s River North.
According to Chicago police, the 46-year-old man was standing outside a vehicle in the 800 block of North Cambridge at approximately 9:48 a.m. when he was shot multiple times.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his back, and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle, but a person-of-interest was taken into custody, according to Chicago police.
Area Three detectives are investigating the shooting, and no further information was available.
