SAN ANTONIO – A confusing series of events at a West Side apartment complex left a juvenile with a cut on his arm and a nearby vehicle with smashed windows, prompting an ongoing investigation.
The incident happened on Friday around 9:35 a.m. near Jean Walk and S Laredo Street, where the boy was found with a non-life-threatening injury to his upper arm.
The 13-year-old told responders he had been chased by another boy who also lives in the complex, someone he’s had past problems with. He said the other boy, an 18-year-old, was holding a metal object and struck him before taking off in a vehicle.
But the owner of the damaged car shared a different account. She said she walked outside to find the boy standing near her vehicle and went to his apartment to inform his mother about the damage she believed he caused. When the boy and his mother came to the door, she said the cut on his arm was new and hadn’t been there just moments earlier.
At this point, it’s unclear how the juvenile was injured or what exactly led to the car’s damage.
