Scottsdale leaders will soon find out if switching the intersection of Scottsdale Road and Dynamite Boulevard from a roundabout to a conventional intersection really did cost them $29.2 million in grant money.

The Maricopa Association of Governments Regional Council is set to consider reallocating the money to the city during its Dec. 3 meeting.

The money originally came from a federal grant but the city forfeited that when the city council voted 4-3 during it’s April 8 meeting to switch improvements plans from a roundabout to a signalized intersection.
