NBC10 was on the scene when a car was lifted out of Cresheim Valley Creek in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia on Sunday night.
First responders had shuttered the area near the intersection of Lincoln and Cresheim Valley Drive and were focusing on an area of a broken guard rail before the car was lifted.
The man inside the vehicle was pulled from the river and taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, police said.
No word on how the crash happened or if any other cars were involved.
