Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen made history on Sunday.

The reigning MVP rushed for his 76th career touchdown, giving him the all-time record for a quarterback. He surpassed Cam Newton with the score against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Since being drafted in 2018, Allen has been one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the league. Over the past three seasons, he’s recorded at least 25 passing touchdowns and at least 10 rushing touchdowns, notching a career-best 15 rushing touchdowns in 2023.

Allen’s 15 rushing touchdowns in 2023 are also tied for the most by a quarterback in a single season, alongside Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts.

Earlier this season, Allen broke another one of Newton’s records. In a win over the Carolina Panthers, he notched his 46th game with at least one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown, marking the most in NFL history, a record previously held by Newton.

Newton had an outstanding career that featured an MVP, Offensive Player of the Year and more, but now Allen has another one of his records and is cementing his status as one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks of all time.

After making history on Sunday, Allen is hoping to make his 2025 season even better by leading Buffalo to a championship. The Bills have struggled as of late, going 3-4 in their last seven games, but are still more than capable of competing in the AFC.

Following Sunday’s matchup with the Steelers, they’ll get a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals before taking on their division rival, the New England Patriots.
