In a 2019 poll, 12 percent of men stated that they believed they could take a point off of Serena Williams in a tennis match.
It marked just another step in the long line of things dudes believe they can do, but they absolutely cannot. Such as landing a plane with no training, or killing large animals with their bare hands.
In the latest example of this, an internet troll named Anthony professed that there wasn’t a single WNBA player he believed could beat him in basketball 1-on-1.
Internet Troll Gets Embarrassed By WNBA Rookie Sarah Ashlee Barker
Unfortunately for Anthony, WNBA rookie Sarah Ashlee Barker took him up on his challenge, and the results were not pretty for him.
Barker, was a college superstar for Georgia before transferring to Alabama, where she was twice named first-team All-SEC. The Los Angeles Sparks then selected the 6-foot guard with the ninth overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
She struggled slightly as a rookie, scoring just 3.1 points per game to go along with 1.9 rebounds. But she did make 34 appearances for the Sparks.
Despite her inexperience in the WNBA, Barker absolutely destroyed the internet troll. She outscored him 11-2, and then pointed to the camera said: “I need you to tell the camera that you’re sorry to the WNBA, and you’re sorry to all the women.”
“I got nothing but respect for the WNBA. They know what they’re doing. They’re the best at what they do. They deserve all the respect,” the clearly winded troll said, conceding defeat.
Barker then pointed out that she handed out a butt kicking despite being an end-of-the-bench player in LA.
This just goes to show, fellas, that if you’re gonna talk trash, especially on women’s sports, you better, at very least, be really good at that sport. Otherwise, you’re just setting yourself up to get embarrassed.
