PHOENIX — A social media tip led to multiple dogs being saved from a West Valley shed on Wednesday, authorities said.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the tip alerted detectives with its Animal Crimes Unit to multiple dogs living in a shed in Tonopah.
MCSO said that when the dogs were found, they were living in their own excrement and confined with no fresh air.
The sheriff’s office described the conditions inside the shed as “deplorable.”
All of the dogs were taken to MCSO’s Animal Safe Haven to receive care and rehabilitation.
The sheriff’s office encouraged anyone suspecting animal cruelty to report it at 602-876-TIPS (8477).
