GRANBY, CT (WFSB) – The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said a black bear and three cubs reportedly entered a home in Granby on Saturday.
According to DEEP, the residents of the home safely evacuated without injury.
DEEP said the bears entered through a basement screen door, took some food items, and left the home on their own.
The incident happened at 54 Barndoor Hills Road.
Officials searched the area, but did not find the bears.
