Phoenix Suns’ Dillon Brooks not bowing down to LeBron
Dillon Brooks discusses his on-going back-and-forth with LeBron, including their game vs. Lakers on Dec. 1.
HOUSTON – The Phoenix Suns will be without injured star Devin Booker (right groin strain) and Jalen Green (right hamstring strain) for the Friday, Dec. 5, game against the Houston Rockets.
The 6 p.m. MST game will be televised on Arizona’s Family (3TV) and Arizona’s Family Sports.
This will be Dillon Brooks’ first game in Houston since the Rockets dealt him to Phoenix as part of the Kevin Durant trade. The Rockets traded Green, Brooks and the 10th overall pick in the 2025 draft, 7-footer Khaman Maluach, to Phoenix for Durant before the 2025 draft.
Brooks is averaging a career-high 22.3 points in his first year in Phoenix.
The Suns (13-9) are coming off a 125-108 victory Dec. 1 over the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena to end a two-game losing skid.
Booker strained his right groin in the first quarter of the win and will be re-evaluated next week. Green has only played two games for the Suns in his first season with the team.
The Rockets (14-5) won their last game, 121-95, Dec. 3 over Sacramento after a surprising 133-125 loss Dec. 1 at Utah to end a four-game road trip. Houston is 4-1 in its last five games.
Phoenix lost its first matchup against Houston, 114-92, on Nov. 24 without Durant, who missed the game for personal reasons. This will be Durant’s first game against Phoenix since the trade. Durant is averaging 25 points in his first year with Houston.
