The NBA’s trade machines across the internet have been flooded with proposals involving Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Antetokounmpo is once again at the forefront of trade conversations after he made headlines on Tuesday. The two-time MVP removed all references to the team from his Instagram and Twitter accounts, sparking a major stir in the NBA world.
Many thought this was Antetokounmpo’s way of possibly requesting a trade soon. That has yet to happen, but many predict that it could happen soon, as early as December 15.

That is less than 10 days away, and there is a lot that can happen. Many teams have been linked ot the Greek Freak, but the team possibly at the top of his list is the New York Knicks.

The Knicks have a chance, probably the best chance, to make a push at the nine-time All-Star, and this proposed trade by Kevin O’Connor of Yahoo Sports could get the job done.
- Bucks get: KAT, OG Anunoby, 2030 swap, 2032 swap, seven second-round picks
- Knicks get: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kyle Kuzma, Thanasis Antetokounmpo
“Swap in Mikal Bridges for Anunoby if you’d like, or send KAT to a third team with different assets coming to Milwaukee. No matter the iteration, New York is a destitute trade partner, having already emptied its chamber for Towns and Bridges.
“If Giannis wants to end up with the Knicks, he’s going to have to use all the leverage he can to get there: Age 31, signed only through the 2026-27 season, and now dealing with an apparent injury, he could steer his way where he wants to go by threatening to leave for a team with cap space in 2027.
“But you’d think something would’ve happened by now if there was a deal that worked, or if the Knicks were really that excited about pairing Giannis with Jalen Brunson, which is no guarantee to be a match after witnessing the Giannis/Damian Lillard pairing flop hard. And crucially, Giannis doesn’t have a no-trade clause.”

Many might consider the Knicks the favorite to land Antetokounmpo, but if they do so, they can no longer trade any of their own first-round picks. The only thing the Knicks possess is swaps and one first-rounder from the Washington Wizards, which is top-eight protected.
That exact package above could get the job done, or even a slightly tweaked. If the Knicks decide to make a move, they can’t move a muscle until December 15.
