Warming trend on the way for Phoenix with possible record-breaking temps

  • December 7, 2025

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The past several mornings hit 45 degrees. Up until Friday morning, we had not hit 45 in Phoenix since last January! Mornings will be slightly milder next week, and afternoons will undergo a big warmup.

Mostly clear skies tonight with overnight lows in the upper 40s. After the cool start to Sunday morning, high temperatures will recover to 73 degrees by Sunday afternoon. The normal high temperature for Sunday is 67 degrees. Temperatures will continue to rise during the work week, with highs in the mid-70s on Monday and Tuesday. Morning low temperatures will increase into the upper 40s to low 50s on Monday and Tuesday morning.

By Wednesday and Thursday, highs will increase to the mid to upper 70s while lows will rise into the low 50s. By Friday and Saturday, highs will drift into the upper 70s to the 80s. The record on Friday is 79 degrees, set in 2010, and the record on Saturday is 82 degrees (also set in 2010).

For the high country, conditions will remain dry with warming temperatures next week. We’ve seen some gusts over 20 mph on Saturday; Sunday will not be as breezy.
