PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man accused of raping a 15-year-old in Center City last year pleaded guilty Friday in a negotiated deal with prosecutors.

Derrick Henry, 35, admitted to assaulting the girl in November 2024 near Jeweler’s Row, around Eighth and Chestnut streets.

He pleaded guilty to a single offense of indecent sexual deviant intercourse for a person under 16. The rest of the charges, including rape, sexual assault and corruption of a minor, were all dropped.

Henry was sentenced to 6 to 12 years in prison.
