
Suns’ Grayson Allen reflects on his career-high scoring game

The Phoenix Suns will have another opportunity to take on the defending NBA champions with a trip to Las Vegas on the line this time.
The Suns face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Cup quarterfinals on Wednesday, Dec. 10, with the winner advancing to the tournament semifinals on Dec. 13 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The championship game is Dec. 16 at T-Mobile Arena.
The Suns fell to the Thunder, 123-119, on Nov. 28 at Paycom Center to conclude NBA Cup West Group A play.
Oklahoma City earned the top seed in the West while Phoenix advanced as a wild card with the fourth seed for the second time in the three years of the NBA Cup.
Phoenix lost to the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena in the quarterfinals of the first year of the tournament in 2023. The Lakers won the inaugural tournament.
The 2025 NBA Cup quarterfinals begin Dec. 9 with the Miami Heat playing at the Orlando Magic, the top seed in the East, followed by the second-seeded Toronto Raptors hosting the New York Knicks.
The Suns and Thunder battle Dec. 10 in the first West quarterfinals game. The San Antonio Spurs then take on the second-seeded Lakers in the second quarterfinal in Los Angeles.
Phoenix will play on Monday, Dec. 8, at Minnesota before facing the Thunder.
The Suns rallied to stun the Timberwolves, 114-113, on Nov. 21 in Phoenix as Collin Gillespie hit the game-winning shot with 6.4 seconds left to cap a 9-0 run in the game’s final 49 seconds.
