CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A man was treated for gun wounds after police say he was shot by people he had arranged to meet up with on Facebook Saturday night.

A release posted by the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) says officers responded to a shots fired call near the 1900 block o f East 33rd street just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

It says the officers found a man with non-life threatening gun wounds at a gas station on Rossville Boulevard, and he was taken to the hospital by Hamilton COunty EMS.

The release says the man had arranged to sell items to another person through facebook, agreeing to meet up that night. The man said he got to the location, where two men robbed him of the items at gunpoint, and shot at him as he drove away.

The release says he then drove to the gas station to get help.

CPD Homicide, Crime Scene and Robbery units are leading the investigation, but have been unable to find or identify the two suspects so far.
