An empty lot located a short walk north of Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake is set for development with housing, per a recent application to the Los Angeles Department of City Planning.
The project site, located at 1132 N. Hyperion Avenue, is an approximately 10,400-square-foot lot which most recently traded hands in 2012, according to city records. Owner David Darwish of Gingko Rose Limited Partnership is seeking city approvals to subdivide the property into four small lots, each of which would be developed with a single-family home.
Architectural plans for the project were not included in the filing, although a preliminary plot plan shows four buildings arranged in a row with common driveways at street level. Each would stand 35 feet in height.
A similar development was recently submitted for entitlements nearby along Hyperion on the south side of Sunset Boulevard.
Both projects would rise roughly a half-mile northwest from the site of a mixed-use development which recently broke ground at 3313 Sunset Boulevard.
