Every animal deserves to live out their Happily Ever After, regardless of their species or size. For some animals, that means getting adopted by their forever family, but for bison like @ritchiebison’s newest resident, that means running free in a wide open pasture.

Ritchie Bison Farm in Manitoba, Canada, focuses on giving its animals happy, fulfilling lives, which is why they have acres of space to run, rest, and play. The newest bison, Atlas, didn’t know what to expect when the doors of his trailer opened, but his panicked running quickly turned into joyful frolicking. He even jumped for joy!

Atlas is one a gigantic animal! Bison are massive and majestic animals that most people will never get close to, and that’s for a good reason. Not even farmers mess around with such large creatures, but they still do everything they can to keep them happy, healthy, and comfortable.

Commenter @kattwingscorner spoke for everyone when they wrote, “I was not expecting him to boing away.” It’s like a bison’s version of having the zoomies! If you ask me, he jumped with joy so high that all four of his legs were off the ground at once, and if that’s not joy, I don’t know what is.

“I’ve never really wondered what a happy bison looked like,” @greywolfebites, “but now I know.” You can say that again! It took about five seconds for Atlas to go from worried to overjoyed, which is what every farmer and pet parent dreams of.

Bison Zoomies

Believe it or not, this is far from the first time a bison has been spotted with a case of the zoomies. Not long ago, Yellowstone guests witnessed the most adorable baby bison zoomies ever! Excitable babies may be more prone to bursts of energy like this, but even full-grown adults can express their joy and pent-up emotion with a good sprint.

However you interpret this silly bison‘s reaction to his new home, there’s no doubt he’s happy to be there. Soon he’ll be running with all of his new friends!
