GIRLS BASKETBALL TOP 10 RANKINGS
1. LA SALLE (6-2)
The Lancers defeated Crescenta Valley 46-41 to capture the San Marino tournament. Aislin Tamez Torres scored a game-high 12 points and was named the tournament MVP. Casey Higgins and Emily Fong each had nine points.

2. GLENDORA (9-0)
It looks like “Believetown” is back. The Tartans coasted to a 74-28 victory over Patriot in the championship game of the Notre Dame tournament. Freshman Remy Caine is making everyone take notice. She finished with a game-high 27 points on six 3-pointers.

3. FLINTRIDGE PREP (5-0)
The Wolves beat Harvard Westlake, 51-45, to remain undefeated. They will be off for nearly two weeks before they take on Westridge in a Prep League game on Dec. 17. They play Keppel the next night.

4. SONORA (6-0)
The Raiders won the Wilson tournament last week with a 64-51 victory over host Wilson. They also had a 59-31 nonleague win over Pilibos.

5. BONITA (5-2)
The Bearcats won their third straight as they took a boat ride to beat Avalon and won 66-21. Senior Tressa Beatty is averaging a team-high 17 points. They have a major test at No. 1 La Salle on Tuesday.

6. LOS ALTOS (7-0)
What a massive turnaround for a Conquerors, who were 12-16 last season. They already have won a tournament title and finished the week with a 54-37 victory over Northview.

7. BISHOP AMAT (6-1)
The Lancers played well in a 47-46 loss to Serra as they dropped to 1-1 in the Camino Real League. They have some big tests coming up, including the Glendora tournament in a couple of weeks.

8. SOUTH PASADENA (6-2)
The Tigers have won three straight and own a win over Pasadena Poly during that stretch. They still look like the Rio Hondo League favorites.

9. PASADENA POLY (7-2)
The Panthers have wins over Flintridge Sacred Heart and Keppel, and might give Flintridge Prep a run for their money in the Prep League.

The Huskies are off to an amazing start. Their only loss was to SGV No. 4 Sonora, 55-40. The Huskies hope to be contenders in this week’s Covina tournament.
